I grew up in Williamsville NY outside of Buffalo and received my B/S in Business/Economics from Syracuse University in 1973. Escaping the historic winter of 1977 I landed in Delray Beach Fl. where I became involved with property management and fishing. Working on several charter boats I qualified for my Captains license in 1982. From fishing, I went to work at the Boca Raton Hotel managing their marina and running the Hotels shuttle boat operations. In 1998, I married my wife, Melissa, a Florida native, who at that time was a VP with United Way of Broward County. Early in 2001 we decided to make the move to Bonita Springs and I left the Hotel after 18 yrs. I found work with the Hyatt who at that time supplied the staff to run the Tarpon Cove shuttle boat, "Cove Runner". When Escalante purchased the Club, I was asked to take over the boat operations on a full time basis. I left the full time position in 2017 to "semi" retire and continued working as a part time relief Captain. Presently I continue with the Club in that capacity as well as assisting with the day to day maintenance around the Club.
